January 2026 Update
This one comes a bit late, but better late than never.
January has been one of those months where a lot happened, but not always in the direction I planned. Let me explain.
The good stuff
- Crossed $40k MRR. This felt great, even if we're always looking at the next target.
- Churn is below 10%. Remember when I said churn was our big pending assignment? We got it down from ~15% to under 10%. Huge.
- Crossed 50k posts per day with a +90% successful publishing rate. Our platform is getting more reliable every month.
- Started posting YouTube videos again. Consistency is key.
- News on Tailride that we'll be able to share soon. Stay tuned.
- Our team is growing and is outstanding. Couldn't be more proud of the people I work with.
The not so good stuff
One of my goals for January was spending more time on GTM. I did the contrary.
We've spent a lot of time working on support, improving the platform reliability, solving bugs, and this kind of work. Which is great and necessary, but doesn't directly move the needle on growth.
We've also spent a lot of time playing around with new tools like Clawdbot, which are great for some workflows but still need a lot of time invested. Very fun though.
We started looking for a new GTM hire but abandoned the process. This one stings.
Also, a bunch of copycats have been born. I guess that's a sign we're doing something right, but still annoying.
Focus for February
Our signups are kind of stable at around 100/day. This needs to be our focus if we want to keep the same rate of growth. More signups, more GTM. No excuses this time.
Unrelated
This month I read 2 books:
- Damn Right! - Janet Lowe
- The Compounders - Oddjbørn Dybvad, Adnan Hadziefendic and Kjetil Nyland
Have a great month!
