November 2025 Update
This will be the first of (hopefully) many months of monthly written updates.
The objective of these recurrent posts is none other than trying to keep tabs on myself and reorg my mind. I feel that lots of things are done to just check tasks, so I hope this one doesn't become another task to check, but someplace I can just write about anything I'd like.
I'll try not to use any AI to write these, so if there are spelling mistakes, I'm sorry :)
As this is my first post, I feel obliged to write something about what we're trying to do or accomplish.
As I have really no idea, it seems easier to me to state the things we're not trying to accomplish:
- We don't want to hate what we do
- We don't want to build a company with an expiration date
- We don't want our customers to dislike what we do
- We don't want to lose money doing what we do
- We don't want to raise money to do what we do
- We don't want to hate whom we build with
- We don't want anybody to tell us what we should do
- We don't want to forget that common sense is the least common of the senses
That said, things change and this will probably evolve in the future. Or not.
After this quick intro, let me give you a quick overview of how our month went.
2 main things we focused on:
- Revenue
- Product
Revenue
On revenue, we just did 3 things:
- New site for getlate.dev with better and longer texts
- Increased ad spend to $800 per day
- Continued with our content creation strategy on YouTube and LinkedIn
Product
On product, our main focus is making our platform more stable, but we also managed to make a lot of new additions. The goal of these additions is to increase the number of potential clients that might be interested in us, not really about improving our product (which is obviously interesting too).
Probably we did a lot more things, but if I can't remember them, they probably didn't matter much.
Down to the money
Although not the most important thing, it's the easiest one to keep track of.
Revenue
- Tailride - $12.6k
- Late - $38.3k
MRR
- Tailride - $6.6k
- Late - $11.8k
You can see we bring in a lot more revenue than MRR. That looks unsexy, but as a bootstrapped company, cash in the bank > MRR. The main difference comes from yearly plans and also one-time upgrades that we might offer to our current users.
I also noticed a thing. It doesn't matter how much you grow, it's never enough because there's always someone growing faster than you. As Charlie Munger used to say "Someone will always be getting richer faster than you. This is no great tragedy." How true! (although more difficult to apply to oneself).
We're hiring!
As we're growing fast and serving more and more clients, we're also trying to expand the team. We're struggling to find a developer. If you're a developer, and you're still reading, probably you're a great fit. Reach out!
Unrelated
This month I read 2 books:
- Frankenstein - Mary Shelley
- The Art of Spending Money - Morgan Housel
I also worked from Malta 🇲🇹 for a week.
And also got my recreational boat license. Now I'm only missing the boat.
This is a pic of me and @pablo on the boat :)

Have a great month!
